Children's Ministry

We care about all of our children at Christ Our King and our partnership to support parents in growing them in the faith and knowledge of the Word of God.  To that end, we provide children's education classes, parenting and marriage enrichment classes, opportunities to be in the Word at home, Faith Legacy opportunities, and more.  We are privileged to walk with your family through your faith journey.  God bless you in the journey!

Sunday School (9:40-10:40 a.m.)

Sunday school for ages Preschool 3 - 6th grade opens all together with singing in room 13/14.  Then our children head off to their classrooms for their Bible narrative and activities.

We use Concordia Publishing House's Growing in Christ curriculum to take us into God's Word.

In the fall we study the Old Testament.  Winter quarter brings us the Life of Jesus.  In the Spring we get into the rest of the New Testament.

Camp WeB (We Believe)

Resumes September 11, 2019

Preschool 3 year olds - grade 4 can join us for Camp WeB!  Join us for a fun evening around the campfire to learn more about the character traits a WeBber- and any believer in Jesus - will grow in.  Traits such as integrity, courage, faithfulness, contentedness, and more!

Then, for the second part of our class we head to activities!  We get to learn great things like crafting, cooking, choir, handbells, drama, games, and so much more.  Sign up for a new option each month!

Can't wait to see you at Camp WeB!

Children's Church

During the 8:15 a.m. service on Sundays, children ages 4 to 4th grade can go to a separate room during the sermon to hear a special message from Mrs. T-K geared to their level. Puppets, action, tricks, and great storytelling help the children hear the message and special Car Talk sheets to take home help parents connect with what their children learned to reinforce the message. Children return to the sanctuary during the offering. Children age 3 and wiggly 4 year old need to be accompanied by a parent.

Faith Legacy

We have many opportunities to share moments in the faith life of our families with our whole church family.  These opportunities to reaffirm the promises made in our baptism are definitely to be celebrated.
