Pastor Tom is a graduate of Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He received his Master of Arts degree in religion in 1984. Pastor Tom is also a graduate of Concordia College, Ann Arbor, Michigan and has a Bachelor of Science Degree in teaching from Concordia College, River Forest, Illinois. Before becoming a pastor, he was a teacher in New York City and New Boston, Michigan. He and his wife, Pamela, are the parents of three grown children.  Pastor Tom retired at the end of 2020 and has limited office hours.

Pastor Don grew up in Higginsville, Missouri, as a part of a Christian family and a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and School. After attending St. Paul’s High School and Junior College in Concordia, Missouri, and the Senior College at Ft. Wayne, Indiana, he graduated from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri, in 1968. He served as pastor of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Miami, Oklahoma, from 1968 to 2008. He also served as pastor of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Fairland, Oklahoma, from 1968 to 1982. He also served the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod as a reconciler, and the Oklahoma District as Secretary for Evangelism and Circuit Counselor of the Miami Circuit. He retired from the full time ministry in July 2008 and joined the staff at Christ Our King in October 2008. He and his wife Jane have two adult sons and their families: Paul, Heather and Jacob, Luke and Josh Kirchhoff of Ann Arbor and Michael, Kelly, Kaity and Zac Kirchhoff of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
