PASTOR THOMAS SCHROEDER
Pastor of Community Outreach
Pastor Tom Schroeder is a pastor, teacher, coach, musician, vocalist, and farmer-at-heart. Gardening, mowing, and woodworking are his hobbies. He currently serves as Pastor of Community Outreach at Christ Our King Saline, MI holding services or Bible studies at seven Senior Living Facilities, GriefShare Leader, and a proclaimer of God’s Word at various settings. Pastor Tom is a friend and counselor to many. Pastor Tom grew up on a farm in Britton, MI, attended Concordia Ann Arbor where he met his wife Pamela of nearly fifty years. He served congregations in New York City, Waltz, MI and Saline. Eighteen months after Pam went to be with Jesus, following a pancreatic cancer diagnosis and treatment, Tom’s longtime friend Mark took the same path as Pam. Mark was married to Joyce for 52 years. Joyce was Pam’s best friend. The Schroeder's and Patterson's raised their children together and vacationed together for years. Last year Tom and Joyce were married with the intention of keeping their spouses in their daily conversations and devotions. With God’s guidance this unique situation has been a source of strength and comfort as they thank their good God for each other and strive to serve Him.
