Our speaker, Pastor Mark Brandt, has been a child of God for 68 years (baptized into Christ at the age of 2 weeks), a husband for 48 years, a father for 45 years, and an ordained pastor for 43 years. Many (probably most) Lutherans don’t quite know what to think about the subject of prayer. Pastor Mark Brandt is one of them. However, that won’t stop him from sharing what he thinks he might have learned from many years of ministering to families in difficult times, from experiencing such times in his own family, and – especially – from a deeper examination of Scripture.
